Really nice mix to chill on new year’s day and that reminds me that i forgot “Feuerhaus” on all my year end charts ;) Also an interesting interview, sounds like this guy is going to release some more fantastic tracks in ‘09. Thumbs up for Si and Nicolas!

Hi Chris,
I hear you on Dial, I think it was a weak year (for Sten / Lawrence) but I loved Hesitate EP & the Various “You Are My Mate” ,especially the RNDM release. I agree that Peter is locked in a rut with the same groove I just hope he finds a way out. I didn’t rate his album either.

a good list. but. but i am one of the guys who thinks dial fell short in 2008. this was perhaps their weakest year to date, well at least in memory. the double pack was a dud, peter’s efforts as either sten or lawrence were likeable enough but have become a bit too formulaic - he’s in a locked groove. it was only really the john roberts release which was top notch. my feeling was that this year was when smallville took over what dial had been. i think that label is much more deserving of a top 10 spot. anyway…

Yeah I know, it was 3 when i wrote it but this piece has been standing a long time ;)

I think Kann will be in next years for sure, I got on to them late this year so I didn’t really feel comfortable charting them.
