Boola - “No Spam Here” EP [Lomidhigh lmtd] (buy)

Time for some more slick, deep Romanian action again on RC. The exclusive Danish label [Lomidhighlmtd] continues in fine form with a one of release from Boola where he gets a little help from his friend Demos. The ”No Spam Here” EP sees upcoming talent, Boola who is busy making a name for himself by releasing on [Arpiar] the label that’s run by Raresh, Petre Inspirescu & Rhadoo. See’s him bringing two very solid house tracks to the table that have quite a unique edge to them.

First up is “Septacol” unlike his previous work this has been produced solely by Boola himself. Septacol is a complexed home grown deep drum track. Very intricate and has the up most attention to detail throughout. Building using vibrant organic percussion and a quite amazing layering effect this track really has an awful lot going for it, spacey synths whoosh by every now and again, the drums are constant and get more intricate as the track progresses. A very nice track and one that should work wonders on the right floor. Expect the likes of Kaden, Ozer & the RPR Sound-System to be dropping this on a floor near you very soon.

Next up is “Trompetre” this is produced by both Boola and his friend Demos. Now this is a real party starter. kicking things off with such a classy & groovy brass horn section which the likes of No Assembly Firm would be proud of. “Trompetre” reminds me of Smith & Hacks remix of Herbert’s “Moving Like A Train” it has all them kind of qualities except with this there’s no real big breakdown. It all works incredibly well and will be sure to kill the dance floor this summer especially if your doing outdoors. It’s the sort of record you could find and probably will find Villalobos spinning this summer. Funky horns from the brass section, tight percussion and a good groove, whats not to like?

Both tracks are quality and worth your hard earned. If you like the sounds of this i’d buy now as i believe that there wont be a repress and come strictly limited.

  1. Where did you illegally download this from Joe?

  2. Your back 66.179.70.228 how nice of you to join us again.

  3. Nothing gets past you does it Joe? Yes clearly I am back, because thats my IP address. Which will be the same as last time.

So, back to the question at hand, which website did you steal this from Joe? You didn’t purchase the vinyl. Its a simple question, don’t be shy.

The opening sentence of your review should read “Time for me to steal from another website/Blog some more slick, deep Romanian action”

  4. Both tracks are quality and worth your hard earned. If you like the sounds of this i’d buy now as i believe that there wont be a repress and come strictly limited.

    THIS IS JUST PRICELESS!

“These tracks are worth your hard earned, but not mine as I have just stolen it from another Blog/website. I just like to make out I have actually bought the vinyl.”

Have you actually bought this EP Joe?

  5. Why are you so bothered where i got this EP from ? And why the Anonymous ? I’ve stated many times before that i don’t buy all the music that i review. I clearly couldn’t afford to. I don’t hand out mp3’s just review them, were not like RA where we get sent promos, fair enough we get sent some but as were not a commercial blog we find other ways of reviewing the music that we bring to the readers day in day out. Right so now thats cleared up what next are you going to try and throw at me? I have no hangups about telling you that i dont buy all the music, however i do still buy music unlike some! and if i remember rightly you were banging on about some point system which you seem to know an awful lot about for a legit music buyer? If i was handing out high quality mp3s i could see your point but as i’m not you dont really have one do you? Also i dont link to sites that i get some music from do i ? Believe me there are thousands of blogs out there who hand out music like it were sweets why not go and preach to one of those (if you can find them) which is the main reason your commenting; your frustrated that you cant find the download yourself, you clearly dont have enough points or whatever in you club so your deciding to have a go here. Every blogger has music sources its how they use them is the thing. we use ours at our discretion, never hand links out or high quality mp3s. Basically your argument is dead in the water. Also feel free to identify yourself instead of hiding behind a computer screen.

  6. So its worth other peoples hard earned, just not yours, is that it.

OK. yes, you are right we’ve cleared that up.

  7. “Both tracks are quality and worth your hard earned” This is a selling point, a pun whatever ; telling the reader in a quick & short yet descripitve manor that this music is GOOD go buy it. i’ve explained about music sources etc your the only one who seems to be bothered where the music comes from. This is a music blog music comes from our music sources.

Your silence is a sign of weakness in relation to the questions i put to you in my previous statement.

  8. Great reviews, don’t worry about the bad press.

It’s not like he’s making money off of performing these tracks, I’d say your energy is being wasted, Anonymous.
