Ibex - “360″ EP [Rush Hour Recordings] (buy) (buy)
Tony Ollivierra makes more than a welcome return to producing music under his Ibex guise. Known for his two releases on Planet E back in 2000 & 2001, Ollivierra returns in 2009 with a finely tuned house EP that should have something to suite everyone. “360″ is the main attraction here and is available in both vocal and instrumental form - the latter being a dub version. The vocal “360″ is a lovely house jam that has great attention to detail throughout . Tight, organic percussion and soulful - sampled vocals lift the track (and you) way up high - whilst Tony takes the percussion to the next level and brings in what I can only assume is a sample of a male choir. Packed full of rhythm and intricate percussion - “360″ should see big plays across the board. On the flip side are “Loves Better” & “Scatterbrain” - which come across in similar style as “360″. It’s like Tony has gone all out to create the perfect party EP… And its worked. We recommend this to fans who like a bit of “bump” with there house.
