Le Cercle Peul

Mr Raoul K -”Le Cercle Peul (club mix)“ -[Baobab Music] (buy mp3)

This was dropped by a friend of mine at the weekend, i was like woah what was that? He eventually finishes of his set comes over for a beer and hands me a CDR, which has the track in question on it. That’s what friends do round this way. I think this will be my summer anthem, when its played loud on a decent soundsystem the outcome is second to none. It starts off with what sounds like a Spanish guitar and some drums, in come the whooshes from the programmed synth and the track starts to build. The drums become more intense as they work side by side with the guitar, incomes some percussion as the high hats are given a little work out, it slows down and uses some wood instruments which give it a organic feel. Then it build’s up eventually exploding into a great rhythm and really letting go. This track has alot to give and has summer terrace written all over it. I for one cant wait to hear it being played out in Ibiza and at the cooler venues in the UK over the summer months, time for a vodka limon i think.

  1. This one’s a corker, to be sure! Goes nicely alongside some of Guillaume & the Couto Dumonts’ stuff. Would be nice it popped off a little, though, instead of building endlessly.

  2. Sounds a bit like Francois K, “Road of Life” (Quiet Village Sound Factory Dub), too.

  3. i like the way it builds to nothing, does sound like guillaume & coutu dumonts

    nice track

  4. Kicks off my recent mix: -
