Radio Slave - “No Sleep Parts Four & Five” - [Rekids/Promo]

Radio Slave’s been busy at it again what with moving to Berlin running a label doing numerous remixes and finding time to Dj all over the place its safe to say its going to be another busy year for one of the most in demand producers. He continues 2008 where he left of in 2007 with remixes galore, ive lost count of just how many but it adds up, some of my favorite include his remix of Dead Souls & his fantastic remix on Renaissance of  Ralph Falcons “The Dig”.This time were looking at him more as a producer than a re-mixer as he hits us up with the next two installments of his great (No Sleep) series. Part four kicks off with “Tantakatan” which is a berghain influenced techno track stripped back and moody, in fact i think all four relate to his recent move to Berlin It’s quite a scratchy techno track with a repetitive edge to it. The second track of part four is “Grindhouse Tool” and it certainly will be used as a tool its quite deafening the way he builds its almost white noise you don’t realise it until your ears start ringing when this happens you hear so much more going on because your senses have picked up on it he incorporates this with what sounds like a horn of a ship that’s about to set sail very deep and mysterious. Part five starts with ”K Maze” this has more of a housier feel to it and its a bit more relaxed with a good full body and a decent groove that should suit all. Last up is “What Happened?” again on a house tip dare i say almost deep house! scratchy with a good groove. Radio Slave shows us that there is something for everyone here within these four tracks his mise en place is bang on you would have to be quite a harsh critic to not find something you like here.
