Markus Fix “One Day Soon” (Cannibals EP) [Cecille Records] (buy)
Cecille Records continue there good run of releases with Cannibals EP,which is a good three track record from Markus Fix. The title track “One Day Soon” is what caught my attention the most it has that familiar tribal / minimal edge to it which quite alot of producers are championing at the moment. Markus, who you may remember from his other EP “El Comienzo”but to be more specific a certain track that was big last year ”The Russian” which is also available on Cecille, has a good ear for making tribal influenced house records, always with a cool distinctive edge.These three are no different, One day soon breaks into a deep house like track giving off a lovely vibe and some good chanting / vocal work the second track is “Release Yourself” this is more on a deep house tip with a deep piano riff & the last track is “Africa or Not” which is a full blown African chanting record complete with authentic war cries and strange tribalism, to be honest i couldn’t see this being played out, maybe by Villalobos but that’s about it. A decent EP which is worth looking up.

where can i get this as a digital download?
I’m not sure looking at beatport theres normally a bit of a gap between releasing on vinyl and releasing as MP3 …should be soon though your best bet is to check there myspace for more info.
