Rewound Circuit of the week

By Joe • Feb 27th, 2008 • Category: Music, Rewound Circuits

This will be a new feature from me where i delve back through the archives & bring you some forgotten music that deserves some more love & affection, after its had a good dust off. Some will be from the past few years, some will be a little older. It wont be an old skool post though. So i recently saw the Romanian dream team or the “RPR Soundsystem” as they are more commonly known as. Rhadoo, Pedro & Raresh, I was pleasantly surprised to how much they looked back within there record collections & there vast knowledge on house music, by bringing out some forgotten memories. I’m not talking Chicago house or earlier I’m talking late 90’s early 2000 these are the tracks that need some thinking about, anybody with a PC can get a list of early house music but this was different there had been alot of thought on what to play next, And it payed off most definitely. I’m bored of going out and hearing the latest beatport chart i like it when Djs mix it up a bit, these three guys certainly did that.So the record that had me going wow i remember this but can’t name it, was Eddie Richard’s - “Yeyo” from 2001. A truly wonderful tribal drum track with a great singing like chant and a quite beautiful light & floaty melody. Yeyo is Spanish for cocaine, has this track been made with that in mind? It just might well have been.(d/l)
