Truby Trio ft Marcus Begg -” Universal Love” (Âme Rootdown Round Midnite Mix) [Compost Germany] (buy)

The 2003 (vinyl only) remixes from Âme & Tiefschwarz of “Universal Love” by Trüby Trio Aka Rainer Trüby, Christian Prommer & Roland W. Appel have recently had a digital only reissue & from what I can gather they have never received a digital release at least up until now that is. The ever reliable Compost Records have reissued the remixes of Universal Love and made them digital friendly for all, which is really good news as now we can finally get our hands on Âme’s excellent deep vocal house remix of “Universal Love”. 

Since Kristian Beyer & Frank Wiedemann formed Âme their musical output (on remixes especially) has changed quite a bit over the years you only need to check out earlier cuts such as their remix of Akabu’s (Dave Lee aka Joey Negro) ”Phuture Bound” or even “Insomnia”. Put these next to tracks such as Balandine, Fiori or their self titled album on Sonar Kollectiv and you have a wide range of music ranging from deep house to more deeper techno influenced house music (all of which shows well when you see them DJ live). The remix we have today from back in 2003 shows the duo has a great versatile talent & a keen ear for a great feel-good-deep-house workout. I wouldn’t say its commercial (as far as commercial and Âme go) but it would find a perfect place in a [Defected] DJS box as well as finding a happy home on a cool European dance floor.

You know that its going to be something good when you have Trüby Trio & Âme all working on the same piece of music &  let me tell you it doesn’t disappoint. What with Marcus Begg’s fabulously deep vocal range and the production skills from all involved you get a quality deep vocal house record which these days I find is quite hard to come by. Warm, feel good with great vocals & top quality production what more could you ask for! If your partial to a vocal with your house this is for you. I’ll let the music do the talking.
