Unknown artist - Catscan remix [Seldom felt, 2008] (d/l)

Seldom felt continues to stay unidentified. Good I say! This, or these, producer(s) set the bar way up high with the first outing, now upon us again with more raw sketches of pure techno essence. For the second time my preferences lies with the underside, Catscan remix. A heavy machine-like kick starts the track, and you instantly know that this won’t be no picnic. Snare chimes in together with the industrially eerie background atmospherics. Hihat joins. Devastation well underway. Put me in a pitch black room with this playing eardrum popping loud, now! The pressure continues to rise as this seldom felt juggernaut crushes you beneath its pulsating, bare force. No finesse or flare, this is concentrated brutality. The original, A side, is leaning more towards electro robo-spasmatic horizons - of course also of brilliant quality. Not as menacing nor intimidating, the original is more well rounded and will be a favorite for many a packed dancefloors. Seldom felt has done it again.
